In my specific teaching context I have a broad range of options available to me. Being that I am split between wholly academic and psychomotor capabilities it leaves considerable capacity to use video effectively, and I have done on a number of occasions. Though walking the students through the steps of something more physical such as drawing or painting, then having the video present can be incredibly effective.
Learning Outcome:
Understand and be able to demonstrate being able to draw various shapes and forms effectively.
Teaching the basics of drawing can really be benefitted by having video to support that learning. I also think that video created by the instructor or from other professional sources would be the best for the student to get the best results, though I could also see the benefit of students sharing their progress with each other in a manner that would allow growth for both of them.
